Our Mission

At Volar Behavioral Consulting, we believe in providing quality, trauma-informed psychosocial services for individuals and families, regardless of race, language, or immigration status.

Tell your story

Cuéntanos tu historia. Often times clients feel restless with the “hurry up and wait” immigration process. We understand those frustrations and fears, and welcome the candid conversation about you or your family’s situation. Our thorough evaluation is conducted through personal or virtural interactions, as well as evidence-based screening tools. Follow-up recommendations are provided to the client, along with a comprehensive report to the client and their attorney.

Our Services

Assessments are offered in English or Spanish, and range from one to three sessions. The comprehensive report is then submitted directly to the client and their attorney. Referrals are preferred for those working with an attorney, in order to provide up-to-date information and diagnosis for your case.

Cancellation of Removal

Cancellation cases require assessment of the US citizen family members, from ages 8 to adult. Family assessments can be intimidating, but we aim to provide a welcoming environment to address any needs related to your loved ones.

601-A Waivers

Assessments for waiver cases are conducted with the US citizen family member. Virtual and in-person assessments are available if distance is a challenge.

ASYLUM

Trauma-informed practices are crucial when working with asylum applicants. Our safe meeting space, empathic listening, and flexible appointment times help in providing as little barriers to this process as possible.

U-VISA/T-VISA/VAWA

Recounting details from a horrific event can deter a client from seeking legal protection. At Volar Behavioral, we have established a strong referral base to direct client’s for continued care.

“Our law firm specializes in immigration law and we frequently need Psychological Evaluations for our cases. We have worked with Volar Behavioral Consulting, LLC for several years and highly recommend their work. They do an excellent job of analyzing the emotional, financial and medical hardship that our clients would face if their family members were separated for an extended period of time. Their evaluations are very thorough and their analysis is invaluable to our clients’ overall likelihood of success in their case. Our clients always report back to us that Corrie and her team were extremely professional, compassionate, responsive, and affordable.”
